Going on my first solo trip - Med Sailors!

Playsuit Topshop | Boots River Island | Bag Aspinal of London

This year I've decided to do more for me! So in the middle of February I decided to book my first ever solo trip away with MedSailors. (You can check out their website here) I knew I wanted to go away by myself but for a short period of time and I wanted to go with a company with other travellers. I wasn't keen on the idea of doing my trip completely solo and planning my own schedule as I was a little too nervous for that. I looked into Trek America and MedSailors, but in the end MedSailors won it for me because they had a trip to Croatia. I went to Croatia a couple of years ago now with one of my girlfriends, we stayed in Dubrovnik which is such a beautiful place and I knew from the very start of that holiday I wanted to go back to Croatia and explore more places.

MedSailors have six different destinations so far, therefore you are not limited for choice. I'm pretty sure if I enjoy this trip I will be booking myself another one for next year. Their destinations include Croatia, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Montenegro and Caribbean!

They have two routes for the Croatia trip and I'm taking the Discovery route which starts and ends in Split. Each day we will be going to a different island including Komiza, Vis Town, Zavala Luka, Hvar and Supetar. I've paid £791 for 7 days and I'm staying on the Premier Plus boat which has a a little more room than the Premier boat (however all of the boats look great!) plus flights which you book separately by yourself. This also includes both breakfast and lunch and MedSaliors recommend you take about £50 spending money each day for food, drinks and other activities. I will be taking lots of photographs and I will have a blog post on my trip when I return. I will let you know how it went as well as any other important information I feel you should know if you are planning to go on your own MedSailors trip.

One of my main reasons for wanted to go on this trip, is this year I want to do more for me and do things that are outside of my comfort zone. And I thought this would be the best way to start as I will be gaining new experiences and meeting lots of new people. (You have about 8 people staying on each boat but I was told there are about 5 boats doing the same route so you have the opportunity to meet other people on the other boats.) Although I'm super nervous about this, I'm also so excited. I think it's so important to push yourself and try out new things in life.

Now onto my outfit, as you may have seen on one of my latest blog post here. I've been trying to be a smarter shopper another way I have been doing this is by having a look in the sales section. I picked up this playsuit over Christmas from Topshop for about £15. I love the black and multi coloured spots meaning you can literally team it with any lipstick or accessories.

Hope you enjoyed this post, have you ever been on a solo trip?

Many Thanks,
