Why Travel Is Good For Your Soul

'Travel so we do not escape life, but for life not to escape us.'

Over the past few months I've had a few travel related posts on my blog which I've really enjoyed writing, in fact they are one of my favourite kind of posts to write. Which inspired me to write this  today.

Back when I first started this blog it was all about fashion, but as I've got older and my interests have grown/changed I'd say my blog is 50% fashion and the other 50% lifestyle. I think most people have seen a change in others and their own blogs over the years. And change is good because it shows you have developed as a person.

As I said at the beginning of this post travel posts are one of my favourites to write. Purely because I also love to read them (and watch travel vlogs) as travelling is by far one of my favourite hobbies. I try to at least visit one new place a year whether that is in the UK or abroad. And most years I've been lucky enough to visit more than one. Living in the UK, especially London makes travelling so easy. From big trips to the states (where these photos where taken) to short city European breaks.

As I've got older I appreciate travel more and as they said 'Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer.' I think it's important for your passport to be well used! It's amazing going to different places experiencing different cultures and always having new stories to tell.

Travelling is good for the soul as it fills you with some amazing memories, you learn new things from each place you visit, meet new people and have new experiences.

I always think it's good to look into places that you have never thought of going to before too. A couple of years back I went to Iceland which is somewhere I've never really had an interest in going to before it was booked, yet I had an incredible time and saw some amazing things while I was there. I've also just got back from on a girls trip to Croatia again somewhere I've never thought of going to. I had the most amazing time. And I'm pretty sure this is the new popular place to go at the moment as I've seen so many people on Instagram have been. I will have a Croatia Travel Guide up on my blog this week!

It's so easy to get caught up in everyday life and other priorities we may have. And put travelling to the back of our minds. But there is a whole world out there to explore and we only have one life which needs to be lived to the full!

Now on to my outfit, I love love love this denim skirt from Topshop! I feel like it has summer written all over it. I've seen quite a few floral embroidered items on the high street this year. Some trends fade however I think this one will last for a while. (That being said never buy something because it's trendy...just buy things you love and feel confident wearing.) I wanted to keep a simply style with this skirt so I've teamed it with a white bodysuit, if I want to wear jeans/skirt with the top half tucked in I tend to go for bodysuits nowadays and they fit really well tucked in and do not have that baggy look!

Love
