In August I went on an amazing holiday with one of my close girlfriends. (This summer was all about girls trips for me!) We had the best time and the perfect mixture of relaxing, eating, drinking and exploring such a beautiful place. Neither of us had been to Croatia before but we both wanted to go as it looked incredible and we had heard nothing but good things about it. We stayed in the Sheraton which is located about 15 minutes via water taxi (the perfect way to get around Croatia.) in an area called Srebreno. This area is nice and quite but still a far amount going on, with some nice resturants and bars.

I can not recommend this hotel enough, and we traveled with Thomson. I've never booked through Thomson before...but I'd defiantly book with them again. We got a private taxi transfer to and from the airport, we had a great rep who was at the hotel everyday to help with anything you needed. We also booked couple of day trips through Thomson which I where very well organised.

Our hotel was a 5 star and was above and beyond our expectations. Our room was very spacious which a lovely balcony which we made the most of every evening playing card games before we went out for dinner and drinks. The hotel had a big outdoor pool area as well as an indoor pool and spa. Although the hotel was fully booked, the pool area still felt very relaxing and not too busy. We opted for a bed and breakfast option because we wanted to have the option to go out and eat our other meals elsewhere. But breakfast was amazing...I miss it now just thinking about it as there was so many options from english breakfast, pancakes, waffles, pastries and much more...

We spent half of our time relaxing by the pool, and drinking lots of cocktails! Then we had a few days out exploring. Our first trip was to Montenegro...this was so much fun. Although we did not realise at first we would have to leave at 6.30am in the morning however it was so worth it in the end. We went on a boat to the blue caves and had a swim in them...we couldn't believe just how blue the sea was it was like someone had put blue dye in there. After a swim we went back on the boat and had lunch then headed to an island called our lady of the rocks. Which had small beautiful church and incredible views of the sea and other island around it. We then went back on the boat and to Kotor, which reminded me very much like Venice. We spent and hour here exploring and getting lost along the way...(all of the streets look the same!) before making our way back to the coach and onwards to our hotel.

Our next day of exploring we decided to head into the old town of Dubrovnik via the water taxi. We very much enjoyed making our way around using the water taxi services. Ubers are just not the same. We did the walk of the walls which and the views were incredible...however it was not until we finished the walk that we realised how much hard work it was in the heat! But we are very glad we done it as it was a lot of fun and we managed to get some great photographs. After this we then went to the Island of Lokrum. Which is where some of Game of Thrones is filmed, I think this is one of my favourites things about this holiday. The island is like nothing I've ever seen before and me and my friend had moments where we just sat in silent admiring the views! We went swimming in the dead sea and had lunch with the company of peacocks...can't say we enjoyed the peacocks as we were a little scared a times!! But it was a funny experience too.

Our finial trip was on our last day and was a great way to end the holiday. We went on the Konavle Valley tour.  This included seeing a few different vineyards getting to each one via a train ride. All of the vineyards were family owned, which made the experience much more personal. We also met some lovely people on this tour and learnt lots about different wines. Also I've now found an unexpected love for red wine!!!

Writing this post is making me miss Croatia as we had the best girls holiday and I would love to go back again. We said we felt like we went on four different holidays because each place we visited was so unique and different from each other.

I hope you liked this post. I will have a Barcelona travel guide up very soon too!

Lots of Love
Nicole
