Dear Dairy: August 2017

Another month has gone past so I guess it's time for another Dear Dairy post. Although I have to apologies for the lack of blog posts in August. I guess I been busy getting caught up in every day life, holidays and socialising with my friends. That being said, I'm going to really try hard to be a better blogger in September and not let my little hobbit slip by as it is something that I really enjoy!

My favourite thing that happen in August was going on holiday with one of my best friends to Croatia we had the BEST time, and I'll have a post up all about it soon. I so needed a girls holiday and came back feeling very happy although I didn't get much of a tan! It was so good just to relax in the sun and explore a new place. As well as spending time with my friend, we were great holiday companions as we are very similar and wanted to do the same things which is always good when you go away with someone.

While I was on holiday I fell back in love with reading. I go through stages when it comes to reading. Sometimes I'll read loads and other times I won't read anything at all for a long time. I managed to read a couple of books on holiday. The first being Mad Girl by Bryony Gordon which is a great book all about Mental Health. Which is something that I think we all need to be more aware of at times and her style of writing is fantastic. The second book I read has been on my reading list for a while so I'm glad I finally got round to reading it and that was Strictly Between Us by Jane Fallon. A great girls read about trust, friendship and relationships with lots of twists along the way. I've got a couple more books I'd like to read soon, so once I have finished them I will write another Book's I'm Loving post.

I had a mummy's and daughter's night with one of my oldest friends and our mums to the Luna Cinema at Ascot Racecourse. We had a fab night and took along some picnic food, chairs and wrapped ourselves up in blankets. We saw Breakfast At Tiffany's, and although it is a classic I've never seen it before. But I have to say I really enjoyed it. We were very lucky and had really good weather for this. As I have been to an outdoor cinema before and it rained and rained the whole time which was not very enjoyable. That's the only thing with living in the UK you never know what the weather is going to be like!

I've also enjoyed having some good nights out this month with some of my closest friends in London, drinking cocktails and dancing the night away. I've been very grateful over the past few months that I have an amazing bunch of friends and glad we can all go out, let our hair down and have some really good times together.

Bloggers that I have been loving this month include Sophie Milner, she has an amazing and funny way of writing. Her posts are just fab and she also has a new podcast series called Keeping it Candid with Millie Cotton. Which I would highly recommend giving a listen if you haven't already. It's all about current events and everything relating to millennial.

Another blogger I've been loving is Gemma Talbot, I love her style and everytime I read her posts/see a photo on Instagram she makes me want to buy something!

I hope August has treated you well and you all have a great September!
