Dear Dairy: June 2017

I've decided to start a new series on my blog writing all about my highlights from the previous month. June was a pretty good month for me, it was jam packed with travel, socialising with friends and family and lots of work in between.

At the very start of June I headed off to LA and Las Vegas for 10 days which was the most incredible trip. And I have some post coming up about my trips starting on Wednesday with a outfit post. (I mean you have to make the most of the beautiful locations for outfit photographs when you are on holiday! I feel sorry for my poor mum as I dragged her out to the beach early in the morning.) I was really nice to completely switch off for 10 days to relax and spend some quality time with my family.

It was my mum's 50th Birthday in June and it's fair to say our family like to drag out birthday celebrations for weeks! We had parties, nights outs, meals the celebrations were endless and I think I need the next month to recover from all the celebrations.

I booked a girls holiday for August to Croatia which I'm very very excited about. I had major holiday blues when I got back from the states so booking another trip was essential. Plus I think it's so important to have a break with your a close friends. We are planning on doing lots of relaxing by the pool, exploring what Croatia has on offer (hopefully a boat trip) and drinking cocktails.

I've been really enjoying the weather we have been having in London and I'm hoping it's going to stick around for July too. (Although being the pale girl I am I won't tan at all which is super annoying.) It's been lovely to come home from work and being able to sit outside in my garden to eat dinner. And the evenings feel so much longer. It's important to appreciate the little things like this in life.

My favourite store this month has been Primark. Their SS17 collection is on point, I'm currently loving their maxi dresses and jumpsuits. I've also managed to pick up some amazing summer goodies and lots of new swimwear for my upcoming holidays which I can wait to wear. I love how you can go in to Primark spend hardly any money but come out with lots of stuff!

I couldn't do a June round-up without mentioning my favourite TV show at the moment and I'm pretty sure it's most peoples too. Love Island, I've never watched it before but I'm addicted and feel like my evenings will be pretty boring when it finishes.

Hope you enjoyed my first monthly Dear Dairy post. I only decided to start this last week which is why June's one is up a little late! But I will be aiming to get each post up the first week in the month in future.

Love
Nicole
