10 reasons I love london

My all time favourite place in the world is London, I have always lived in greater London and there is no other place I would like to call home. (Well that's a lie I would not mind calling NYC home!)

So for today's post I wanted to write 10 reasons why I love London.

1. There is always something new to see, do or discover. I love using the Time Out website to see what's going on around London.

2. It's great for outfit photographs, where ever I go in London I'll always find a great place to take outfit pictures. One of my favourite areas being Notting Hill by all the beautiful coloured houses. It's my dream to one day own a pink house!  The photo above was taken in Notting Hill a couple of weeks ago and I'll have a full outfit post on my blog very soon.

3. West End shows, I've seen a number of musicals at the West End over the years since I was a little girl. It's something I love doing, two of my favourite shows I've seen that are still available to see now are Matilda and the Lion King.

4. Markets, there are so many markets in London. Portobello road fashion market in Notting Hill, Sloane Square food market in Chelsea, Camden food and fashion market, Borough food market and many many more.

5. Rooftop Bars and Resturants, I love seeing the London Sky Line at both day and night. I've been lucky enough to go to a few rooftops now and my favourites are the shard for lunch (I went to Aqua.) and Maddison for dinner and drinks!

6. Royal Parks, we are lucky to have some great parks in London my all time favourite is Hyde Park and I love riding a bike around the park.

7. Shopping, London is amazing for shopping! I tend to do most of my shopping on Regents Street and Oxford Street. However I do also like the odd visit to Westfield in White City. There is so much on offer from all the high street and designer brands you can think of, to so many wonderful independent brands.

8. Fashion Courses (this one only relates to those like me who have/or want to study fashion.) I did my degree at London College of Fashion. And being in the heart of London really was one of the best decisions I made when deciding which university to go to. Everything I needed was on my doorstep, I feel like if I moved away from London to study fashion I would always be coming back to do research for my project.

9. Afternoon Tea's, if you know me well you will know that afternoon tea is one of my favourite things to do. I love how there is so many different afternoon teas that you can do in London. And some of them have amazing themes too. I loved the BB bus tour, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Biceesters and Alice in Wonderland

10. From London it is so easy to travel anywhere. I love that I can jump on the train and within the hour be in a beach location like Brighton!

I hope you enjoyed this post, what's your favourite thing about London or the area that you live in?

Love
