Blogging has become a huge part of my life in the past few years and today I wanted to talk about why I love blogging and what it means to me.

I started my blog on a very rainy day after a driving lesson over four years ago now and it was not up until around two years ago that I started to take it more seriously. I remember reading blogs and following fashion bloggers on Instagram (introduced to me by my best pal Victoria). I loved the fashion world and wanted to be a part of it and it's creativity. I had no idea what I was doing when I first started blogging and I had a very basic camera. I used to take some pictures on a tripod and some with bad lighting in my bedroom.

I was never really sporty when I was a child and there wasn't a hobby that I stuck to, blogging was the first thing that I've actually stuck to years down the line. I don't think some people understand blogging as it's a completely different hobby to most.

One of my favourite things about it is being able to have my own online space to express my creativity with my outfits. I also love reading other blogs and gaining inspiration for fashion and lifestyle. I would say that for me bloggers have much more of an influence than things that I read/see on TV and in magazines. I think it's amazing how bloggers have now become so powerful.

Blogging has really increased my interest in social media, and it's made me realise that this is the area that I want to work in. Without the skills that I learnt from blogging this would be much more difficult. (More on this in next weeks post)

My interest in photography has really increased since I started and I take pride in the photos that I post across my social media. If you read my 2017 goals post here, you will know that this year I would like to up my photography game more and sign myself onto a workshop to learn more about how to use my camera. (As I have to admit I'm not sure how to use all of the functions!)

The most important thing that I've taken away from blogging is the other bloggers, I've meet people who I can now call good friends like Lana (who took all of these photos above for me!), we have get togethers where we take photos for each tother, have fun days out and talk all things blogging. I also talk to so many bloggers on Twitter and read lots and lots of blogs. Blogging means a lot to me as it's something I really love doing from coming up with post ideas, taking photos, writing the content and interacting with people! I'm so proud to be apart of such a lovely community of like minded people. I hope that I continue to blog in the future and I can wait to see where the blogging industry goes.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Why do you love blogging?
