Festive things to do in London

This time of year is my favourite, who doesn't love Christmas?! There are so many festive things going on in London at the moment. So I thought I would sit down and write a list of what you can get up to over the next couple of weeks if you are in London.

First up and one of my favourites is Ice Skating, I seem to be getting a little better each year (however I'm still not amazing.) there are a few ice skating rinks in London. And my favourite has to be Somerset House, I also love how beautiful the trees and decorations are. It's a Christmas tradition of mine to go Ice Skating in London each year. There are quite a few rinks to chose from and most of them are open until the new year so you still have plenty of time.

Christmas At Kew lighting display is a must visit, I went for the first time last week with my mum and brother and we had an excellent evening. They have a seasonal illumination lighting after dark, it is about a 30 minute walk way. And along the way you can melt marshmallows, drink mulled wine and have some delicious food. (We went for the hog roast, I'm still dreaming about that now!)

Winter Wonderland, a very popular attraction in London. Every year I go it seems to get bigger and bigger. You have a circus show, ice skating, rides, christmas market, German bar, and many more! There is so much to do at Winer Wonderland and it is a great day/evening out. But be warned it does get very very busy.

John Lewis roof top restaurant on Oxford Street, a few weeks back myself and my friend Lauren went here and had a lovely meal. We had winter inspired cocktails, and turkey burgers. This is open until the 31st December and is well worth a visit. The inside is decorated very Chrismassy and there are lots of Christmas trees outside!

Another thing that is worth doing around Christmas time, is just exploring London and looking at the beautiful Christmas decorations. I think the ones in Covent Garden are my favourite, however they also have great ones in Regent Street, Oxford Street too.

I hope you are enjoy the last week leading up to Christmas! Let me know if there is anything else you like to do around Christmas time in London that I have missed off this list.
