Pinafore Mod Dolly | Top New Look | Jacket Topshop

When it comes to fashion, I think us Brits are very lucky. We have an amazing range of both designer and high street brands. Catering for all budgets. And I have to say even if I won the lottery tomorrow (figures crossed that actually happens), I would still shop at some of my favourite high street brands as they offer some amazing on trend pieces.

I also love to shop with independent fashion brands. I feel that you get a much more personal experience when you shop with these brands because they don't have as big an audience as other brands. So have more time to focus on their customers. You will also find that the items you buy will be different from those on the high street meaning that you do not have to worry about walking down you local high street seeing a girl in the same dress you are wearing. (Because this is never great!)

One of my favourite independent fashion brands is Mod Dolly, I'm probably bias here as I interned there last year so I was lucky enough to learn a lot about the brand. And it made me fully appreciate how much hard work and effort goes in to running a fashion brand.

The lovely Amy gifted me this beautiful pinafore from the Mod Dolly classic range (this also comes in green and navy). I haven't had this off my back since I got it. This pinafore is the perfect versatile piece, I've worn this to work, casual days out and for meals out in the evening. It can easily take you from day to night. The thing I love most about this is that it needs little effort for styling. You just need to simply add black tights, boots and a leather jacket and your good to go. (Plus red lips to add the perfect finishing touch.) The red tartan print also works so well in the lead up to Christmas, which I'm super excited about already and you can read my first Christmas post here!

I have a feeling that this may be my Christmas day outfit.

What is your favourite independent fashion brand?

Love
