As we are now in to Autumn (I still can't believe it!) it had me thinking about the new fashion season ahead and what outfits I'll put together. Autumn is my favourite time of year, I love layering cosy knitwear with jeans. Wearing big jackets and coats to keep me warm. And in general I feel like my Autumn wardrobe is much stronger than my Summer one.

Like most people when a new season comes around, I'm always on the look out for new clothes. And consistently planning new outfits in my head. However this year I'm making a conscious effort to make sure I make the most of whats already in my wardrobe as well as adding a few new pieces. (Well probably more than just a few as I can't help myself!)

To start doing this I had a huge wardrobe clear out a couple of weeks ago, I do this 3-4 times each year. It makes me feel so much better after going through my wardrobe knowing that I want/will wear most of the content. Instead of holding on to lots of unwanted clothes for no reason which just take up a lot of space.

Another thing I love doing is teaming new items with older ones. When I buy something new I like to think about what is already in my wardrobe. I like to try and have a least 3 different ways I could wear something if I'm going to buy it. (Although I know this is not always possible!)

This leads me nicely on to talking about today's outfit. A pair of jeans that have been featured on my blog before recently here. A summer purchase of mine which I adore, in my previous outfit post I styled these with a short sleeve black top. However to take me into the colder months, I've teamed these with my French Connection jumper that I picked up last year. I love this jumper and think the shirt effect looks really stylish against the knit material. This is the perfect example of how I've teamed something old with something new.

I think it's so easy to get wrapped up in buying new clothes that you forget about the hidden gems in your wardrobe. I love the outfit above and feel like it's a totally new outfit! It's great when you have items of clothing in your wardrobe that you can wear in different ways.

Hope you like this outfit, I'm loving making the most of my wardrobe at the moment!

Love
