Spring/Summer Trends To Watch

Photographs by Lydia Collins

I love all seasons, and every time a new season starts I get so excited to be able to update my wardrobe with new things. I've seen a few trends this Spring that have caught my eye, here are a few that are worth keeping a look out for when shopping.

Florals
You can't have the Spring/Summer season without wearing any florals. This is one of my favourite trends that comes back every year. Florals are perfect for special occasions such as weddings or the races. My most recent floral purchase is this playsuit from little mistress. I adore this, I was lucky enough to pick it up in the sale. I've got a full outfit post coming soon, so watch this space.

Bomber Jackets
If you haven't seen the bomber jacket hype on social media, then where have you been?! I've never been a fan of them myself but this year the high street have so many pretty designs on offer. I picked up mine in Zara and you can see my outfit post here. (You may see a running theme here as my bomber jacket is floral!!)

Playsuits/Jumpsuits
Last year I brought so many Playsuits and Jumpsuits. I love how you can pick up some evening ones (like the one featured in the outfit above) but also some really causal daytime ones. I've recently brought a few from ASOS for my upcoming holiday to Spain in July. I think they are perfect to wear by the beach, they are a great alternative to wearing shorts and more comfortable to wear in the heat.

Hats
A trend that I've not jumped on board with yet, however this year I want to get in to wearing Spring/Summer hats as I've seen so many around that I really like the look of, like this two-toned one from Kurt Geiger.

Culotte Trousers
A trend that I've only recently fallen in love with, I now own two pairs of culotte trousers both from Zara (I've been loving Zara recently!). One of them is featured in an outfit post here. I was also super lucky as I got asked for a street style photograph wearing these and was featured in the Metro fashion pages! I was super excited and happy about that.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Love
