Mixing Things Up

Top Topshop | Skirt Topshop | Jacket Topshop | Shoes Kurt Geiger

There is no denying the fact that I am a complete shopaholic, I'm always reading blogs, scrolling through social media and looking at fashion websites on the 'new in' section to get inspiration for my next purchases. However as someone who is always buying new clothes (I can't help myself!) I sometimes forget about the old goodies I have in the back of my wardrobe that I may have only worn one or twice before. I've been thinking about this a lot recently and I'm going to make more of an effort to mix things up with my outfits rather than keep wearing my new clothes.

First up, I found an old Topshop top in my wardrobe I actually wore it when I went to meet a friend a few weeks ago and felt like I was wearing a completely new outfit because this top hasn't been worn in a very long time. At the moment I'm loving anything metallic or that sparkles, in my eyes these kinds of items are perfect for the festive season. For me when I'm having a bad day to make myself feel better I always like to make an effort with my outfit, black is such an easy colour to style so is perfect for those not so good days. Themed with a trusty red lip, your good to go for the day!

I think my favourite item from this post has to be my fur headband, now there is a reason I haven't worn this is a long time and that is because it has only recently started to get cold here in the UK. I picked this headband up from London's winter wonderland last year actually, it was really cheap too around £6. I had been looking for one for ages but they were quite expensive in the shops and I hadn't come across one that I loved until I spotted this one.

I hope you like this look! Do you have the same problem as me, keep buying new clothes and forgetting about your old ones?

  1. I love this outfit! That headband looks like it is going to keep you nice and warm this winter! I also buy clothes because I forget about the ones I have, I tried making a capsule wardoble but it didn't work x
