How To Organise Your Wardrobe

Image from Pinterest

Now maybe some of the advise that I am going to give now, I need to give myself. As I need a major wardrobe clear out! As someone who loves fashion I have accumulated a lot of clothes over the years, and sometimes you just have to set aside a few hours to tackle your wardrobe. Whether thats just to make it more organised or sort out what clothes you no longer want anymore.

First step take all of your clothes out of your wardrobe and lay them on your bed, this makes the process much easier so you are aware of what you have organised and what is still left to do.

A lot of people think I'm really sad for this by my wardrobe is organised into colour. This way I find it a lot easier to find the clothes I'm looking for. It's a really simple yet effective idea!

Clothes you no longer need/want
I probably have a whole load of clothes in my wardrobe that I no longer wear. I think the golden rule is if you haven't worn it for the past 12 months, you no longer need it. I often get surprised by what I find in my wardrobe as there are often lots of clothes that I have completely forgotten about.

So after you have decided what you no longer want to keep in your wardrobe, put your unwanted clothes on E-bay, or I know a lot of people use Depop. Or you can even do a car boat sale, I have done lots of car boat sales and saved up the money from them and they actually paid for my first girls holiday to Tenerife a couple of years ago!

As much as I wish I had a walk in wardrobe with loads of storage space, I don't. And in fact most people I know don't so we just have to work with what we have got. My wardrobe is of an average side and fits most of my clothes in it....(I have a habit of putting some of my stuff in the spare room though!) but for shoes and bags, I have brought storage boxes from Ikea which are tucked away under my bed so they don't take up much room at all.

Do you have an tips on organising your wardrobe?

  1. I would love a tidy wardrobe and organized! I'm in a process of deciding what will go up on ebay!
