Peak District

A few weeks back I took a short 3 day break with my boyfriend to the Peak District, I have never been before so was excited to explore a new area!

We stayed in a lodge called the Kingfishers lodge, and I booked it here on I would highly recommend this accommodation, we really enjoyed our stay. The interiors were lovely and they had a fab heating system, and the size of the lodge was perfect for two people. It was also nice to stay somewhere which had it's own kitchen allowing us to make our own meals opting for nights in rather than dinners out.

One our first day we took a visit to Chatsworth House which has some amazing gardens and also a huge maze (the inner child in me was way to excited about this!!) We spent a couple of hours walking around Chatsworth gardens and although the weather was not on our side we still had a lovely day.

On our second day we spent the day cycling around the Peak District which was in my eyes one of the best ways to experience all of the amazing views and scenery that the Peak District has to offer.

On our last day we went white water rafting which turned out to be good fun considering I was worried about the aspect of rafting at first. Our instructor gave us lots of different challenges and games to make the experience more exciting. We did this through the company Rapid Horizon which you can find here

I love trips away and exploring new places, I think my new trip will be a spa weekend to Bath in a few weeks time with my mum.

Check out my last travel post where I talked all about my trip to Amsterdam here
